When you sign in with Google, we receive your Google profile information including your name, email address, and profile picture. This data is stored securely and used only to power your RedHoop account.
We also store:
- The username you choose
- Apps you submit (name, URL, description, category, icon)
- Upvotes you cast
- Your contact preference setting
How We Use Your Data
We use your data to:
- Display your public profile and submitted apps
- Track upvotes on apps
- Send contact messages on your behalf (if you initiate them)
- Deliver contact messages to you (if you have contact enabled)
Email and Resend
We use Resend to deliver contact form emails. When another user contacts you via your profile, we send an email to your Google-verified email address. We do not use your email for marketing or share it with third parties.
We Do Not Sell Your Data
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with any third parties for commercial purposes. Ever.
Data Retention
Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you would like your account and data deleted, please contact us and we will process your request within 30 days.
Cookies
We use session cookies to keep you signed in. These are essential for the service to function and are not used for tracking or advertising.
Third-Party Services
- Google OAuth: Used for sign-in. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
- Resend: Used for transactional email delivery.
